Darkness did not receive Him

                                                                                    December 24, 2025

From the beginning, opposition to divine truth manifested itself, first among the angels, and then among men.

For the angels, there is no possibility of repentance or reversal. Their nature is too perfect for them to be able to turn back.

Men, however, are not so constituted. They rebelled against God through disobedience, having been instigated by Lucifer, and yet it is possible for them to turn back, or rather, it is possible for them to become the object of God’s mercy, which brings them back to obedience.

God, in fact, sent us the One of whom it is written: “He was the true Light.” This Light Our Lady and Saint Joseph received and welcomed before and more than all the saints, children of the Holy Church. But the Gospel tells us that the Light shone in the darkness, and the darkness did not receive Him.

Among the refusals that men oppose to the Light who is Our Lord, there is one that occupies a special place because of its harmfulness. This is Freemasonry. Founded in its modern form in 1717 in England, it was condemned by Clement XII a few years later and then by several other popes.

Many of the evils from which we suffer today have their origin in the activities of Freemasonry and its allies.

Freemasonry seeks to totally destroy the foundations of society as God established and sanctified it through the Church, and to put in its place a society entirely contrary to Our Lord and to His law.

It is necessary to know and to combat this society, for the good of the Church and of all souls.

Whether in the two world wars, in civil laws contrary to God’s law, in Vatican II, or in the Declaration of the Rights of Man, the influence of Freemasonry is terribly felt.

It is necessary to read the best books on the subject, to which Saint Pius X attached so much importance, as did Archbishop Lefebvre who, in his book It Is I, the Accused, Who Should Judge You (published by the Society of Saint Pius X), deals at length with the teaching of the popes on this subject.

The feast of Christmas brings to mind the terrible opposition between the Holy Church and this Anti-Church, which is Freemasonry, which, like Herod, seeks to kill Our Lord in the hearts of children, young people, adults, and nations, and thus to suppress the Light that shines in the darkness.

May Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church, protect us from our enemies as he protected the Holy Family and the life of the Child Jesus.
